I have been coming to alc for over 25 years, the service the very comfortable mood was completely consistent in all this time. it is our favorite restaurant in austin.

Service was excellent (Joe). It was extremely loud in the restaurant. Food wasn't cooked as ordered, but they did re-make it swiftly and correctly. Lots of kids.

Service was excellent, atmosphere was excellent, honest feedback about the food . . . The shoestring potatoes were not shoestring potatoes, they were frozen French fries, like the generic Sysco/US Foods/Ben E Kieth etc frozen fries. You should prep/buy the shoestrings or just take it off the menu/relabel Salmon was cooked perfect as were the Brussels. Gravy on chicken fried steak was watery, texture reminded me of gravies thickened with corn starch instead of roux. Chicken fried steak was tough. Chopped Steak and Baked Potato were great. Filet was a bit tough and over salted. I know it’s very difficult to run a kitchen and make everything perfect. I can only imagine that you guys are short staffed just like everyone else, adding to the difficulty. I just wanted to leave an honest opinion of the restaurant. Our meal tonight fell far short of the reputation of Austin Land and Cattle that I have encountered.

Our food service was average. The steaks were terrific. Nice, clean atmosphere. Menu had a nice variety. Beverage and wine menu substantial.
