Bidra med feedbackI would not recommend coming to this place EVER, the manager who is responsible has TERRIBLE customer service . He put my friend I and told us “it will be a while before someone helps you” and then went away to socialize and go as if he doesn’t work there and have a business to run. There were two other groups that sit after us and BEFORE also helped us and visited us several times as well as two other waiters. I asked to talk to the manager, and he was informed, but continued on to other tables around us and went from us as if we were invisible. So I would NOT recommend eating this place, austin is a fairly large city there are definitely many places with much better proper professional customer service.
If you're looking for ingenious customer service, good food, great drinks then Applebee 's on West Highway 290 is the place! Brian K, the server cook did such an amazing job. She has such a pleasant personality that she knows the customers, interacted several times with them on a first name basis. When she came with our food, I was so impressed that I asked her to give the cook my compliments - she said I'm going to take credit for it. Then Grant, the GM assistant, took customer service to the next level. He greeted us when we first came in (before we had a server), he took our order regularly to check us out. All in all, Grant does a job through his team that shows it! Have fun! I'm definitely back!
The best we went to the gate host was our server, so drinks ordered immediately. Quickly returned and we both ordered. The food was great and the price was fair for what we ordered. Not rushed, though I felt as if I camped in this poor boys area, although no worries he also manages because he came to help for 2 weeks for managment, he worked 6 years for Applebee in the past so turns out that I must have the super server this place because the entire visit I spent there was all perfect great not intrusive service and all done in a way. The bathroom was tiled and in stock when I apologized after our meal. The restaurant was revitalized quite quickly when the tables remained clean 5 min later. (Can you say I was 15 years in the restaurant bar business, I have even served the CIA executive chief from my downtown Minneapolis served days always working so that worked for us at least 20 years anyway, but this is another story! My point is, I know great service I know how every seat should stand free restaurant should work and what to look for when it comes to the front of the house. Our food was fresh and hot and was beautifully presented for plate and tables in stock and rolled silver and straw was there on my clean table and stand. The floors did not seem as if after dinner time rush restaurant was introduced as a whole, as there were much more servers and ground personnel, but only my server, the 4 job title he was also the bus! And a bartender. Anyway, remember the big picture and bravo. Thanks for a nice and simple dinner with a great Veteran server and I didn't break the bank!
I'd still go back. I ordered a steak (MR) I felt over cooked because the dish was still sizzling when it arrived; the sides were delicious (baked potatoes and broccoli). Sitting was not amazing, but this could be due to the arrival time. The waiter Josh was great.
If I could rate this place -5 stars I would. Absolutely horrible service. Nancy I believe was the name of our waitress and she did an awful job. She hardly checked on us, one of the people in our 4 top did not get the food they ordered not to mention it took 40+ minutes to get our food on a pretty slow night. When we finally tried to pay we informed them that we did not get one of orders and were ready to pay we waited another 40+ minutes just to pay our bill. The waitress was very rude and snarky and threw the bill and the pens at us with an attitude. Nancy if you’re reading this, my Dr Pepper was flat and your attitude was ugly.
