4th Tap Brewing Cooperative - Austin

True Texan small business right here! The owners and employees stepped up during the community 's time in need when our own local government failed to provide us with quality essential needs. 4th tap offered free drinking and distilled water for anyone who needed it. While many were charging an arm and a leg for these essential needs, 4th tap brewery told the community come on down, we got you! And they did. Distilled water was hard to come by and is essential for many folks with medical conditions. This is one business We hope pulls through.

One of the best breweries in Austin CenTex period. The beer is delicious and excellent, the tap room is very chill and very Austin. It's wonderful to see a brewery sticking to it's Austin roots.

We went to 4th Tap for food and drinks after my husbands curling bday party. I had contacted them ahead of time and they kindly reserved us 3 tables outside for our party of 12. Cute little area with picnic tables and lights. We did have to go inside to order the beers ourselves but the staff was super friendly and funny and helped us pick some pretty good beers. They also had some freshly made root beer that was delicious. Plus, they let us sneak over next door to grab a couple of other drinks for a few of our non-beer drinkers. All of it paired very well with the excellent food from the SXSE food truck. It was definitely a great casual place to hang out with friends for the night. Thank you!

I have to admit that one of the things I love about 4th Tap is that dogs are allowed inside. This is so helpful on a hot Texas day. Plus they have great beer, great servers, and sometimes they even have comedy or other entertainment. The parking lot is very small, but we can usually find parking in the area. And they have a food truck outside!!! Plus, it's in the area of several other breweries if you want to try them (but this place is the only one I know of that lets dogs in the air conditioned building.

Been a couple of years since we stopped in, and they are definitely going in the right direction for a brewery. Good selection of beers, the Kung Fu Robot IPA was a standout for us, since we tend to prefer hoppier beers. The tap room has expanded, is pet friendly, and they have a well stocked game shelf for amusement. The SXSE food truck provides some outstanding options for eating while there. Small parking lot out front, we've always been able to find parking around the brewery.
