Cafe Blue - Austell

I was excited to try this place based on the reviews and since it’s in the neighborhood. I walked in and the place appeared empty. A lady was at the counter texting on her phone. She saw me come in; however she never acknowledged me. I was the only customer in the restaurant. I sat down at a table after scanning the menu. I waited a while. She never walked over to my table nor did she ever acknowledge my presence so I left. I won’t be back. Disappointed as I like to support small businesses.

We stopped in while our car was being fix. Super nice service. We sat outside. The pour of wine was great! Also we got shrimp and grits! Sauce in it was fantastic!

Everything about this business says the owner is trying to keep cost down and I’m not mad her for it! From the scan the code seat yourself and place your order at the register sign at the door, to the bottled drinks except water) and the prepackaged cafeteria syrup and plastic utensils needs to invest in stronger ones those bend too easy when cutting thick foods like chicken and waffles) to the door being prompt open but ceiling fans operating at a perfect temperature for the room, to her hours of operation. everything was clean, I would replace those hand written signs on the tables that say leave dishes on the table) ambiance nice great music at a proper volume, food looked just like the picture and was delicious, I was there shortly after opening at 11:00, I love it and I will return.

Ok this is my 4th time eating here and I’m finally leaving my 5 star review. So I never leave a review based upon one experience at restaurants I always try to visit a few times to see if there is a consistency in food appearance, taste, and service. I like to be accurate with my reviews. Cafe Blue is 5 stars for me! It’s quite the hidden Gem as I don’t know if all of people know it’s here because I’ve lived in this area for a long time and don’t even know it was here. Anyways the food is sooooooo good! The pancakes are literally perfect! The fried catfish and grits are the bomb! The owner is very friendly and she also has a son who works there who is very pleasant and a great server! I enjoy every single time that I come! I have been here four times and can’t wait to bring my group of sisters and friends to eat here! I definitely am and will continue to be a returning customer!

Came here yesterday afternoon and was not disappointed! We were the only people in there for a while and closed it down, lol. The food was delicious, I was so full! We ordered the pancakes, eggs, Flounder and grits, and the owner even made a special for me, lol Salmon and grits… I thank you! Last but not least, we had the mimosas and we settled for the bottle with the different flavors. The music and ambiance was great! I definitely will be coming back, as the pancakes were my favorites and reminded me of my grandmother!
