Bidra med feedbackToday, we came across Pikine Grill's stand at the downtown festivities. The upbeat music and the irresistible aroma from their open grill immediately caught our attention. We decided to try the chicken brochette combo, which came with Jollof rice and fries. We also ordered a side of plantains. The chicken, served on skewers with caramelized onions, was perfectly seasoned and cooked to juicy perfection. The Jollof rice complemented the chicken well and could have been a satisfying dish on its own. The staff was friendly and clearly enjoyed what they were doing, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. We look forward to returning soon to try the wings!
This was my first time trying grilled lamb and fried plantains, and I 100% recommend it! I also suggest purchasing a bottle of their sauce. I placed an order for takeout and enjoyed the meal at home. I had my boyfriend drive back to get more sauce, and he didn't mind at all. He was happy to see how much I enjoyed it. As someone from the south, I have to say this place is really good to me! The owner was very friendly and told me I would be seeking him out after trying his food. Well, now I'm on the lookout for him!
One of the top food trucks in Denver. The food scene in Denver is becoming more varied and these individuals could play a significant role in that. It would be great if they were to open a restaurant so that more people could enjoy their amazing food.
This place is absolutely phenomenal, and a must-eat in Denver! I'm quite familiar with West African food since I've spent a good amount of time living over there. This place is truly authentic! Do not let the unknown scare you away from trying Chef David's food. I would highly suggest the lamb. It is perfectly seasoned and grilled, and will satisfy even the most traditionally American palate! If you've never had fried plantain, this is most certainly the place to try it! If you're feeling a desire to really taste West African food, the peanut stew (Maafe) is truly authentic and delicious! Finally, make sure you don't forget a drink...Bissap is a sweet hibiscus tea perfectly crafted to counterbalance the intense flavors you'll experience throughout your meal! I've never had anything bad here, and I know you won't either! Bon Appétit!
We have never had anything less than a fantastic meal from Chef David and The Pikine Grill. The food is a blend of delicious vibrant flavors, the portions are large and the prices reasonable. Try the Chicken Yassa, it's delicious. Anytime he brings the kitchen to our neighborhood, we drop what we were planning to have and let The Pikine Grill and Chef David cook. My favorite food truck without a doubt
