There are so many Swiss Chalets around, some of them are losing their touch, this is a new one and they really care about building a client base. Hubby ordered the new Chicken parm sandwich, I didn't fancy it at all, then I tasted his - its fantastic!
This restaurant was closed due to COVID restrictions but the takeout food was still excellent - hot and fresh! The service was great as the food was ready for pickup when I arrived.
Been going to Swiss Chalet since 1960 (Bedford and Bloor). Back when you have two choices: dark or light meat (small or large quarters). Th Chalet has lost its focus and now it serves all kinds of 'mediocre ' food. The chicken is fatty, the french...fries are extruded potato and well they 've ven messed with the sauce. The recipe may be close, but I 'm sure not the way it was 60 years ago. You can 't be everything to everybody so why not concentrate on getting the chicken fixed, bring back the 'soft bun ' and the authentic hand-cut fries......same goes for Harvies it 's ugly sister.
If I could give less, I'd be 1 star. not compliant with Kovid protocol. manager has zero training. terrible customer service. created an order at 5:04pm for order in person at 5:50. the food should be ready at 5:34 o'clock. then we were told that food was not ready and waiting in the car. Even with the continued demand for our food, our order, which was $100, was given to us at 18:53. manager refused to talk to us. as to home noticed that we lacked most meals. Hold on and get out of there.
We visited our son and his family for his birthday on a Tuesday night. He wanted Swiss Chalet for dinner, so we placed an order online for 7 people at 4:10 PM for delivery at 5:10 PM. We received a notification that the delivery would arrive at 4:45 PM, but when 5:10 PM came around, there was no sign of our order. After waiting in the designated area, I called Swiss Chalet for an update. They informed me that the driver would be there in 2 minutes. After several more unsuccessful calls and promises of a delivery that never arrived, I decided to cancel the order and request a refund. Despite being told by Swiss Chalet and the delivery company that they couldn't assist me, I eventually canceled the order through my credit card company. The following weeks involved more unproductive calls and promises from Swiss Chalet's manager. In the end, I decided I would never order from them again. It is clear that Swiss Chalet needs to improve their customer service and the contractors they work with to ensure customer satisfaction. In this instance, the quality of the product and customer service fell short, as our order never reached us after hours of waiting. As someone who holds high expectations for employees and contractors in my own professional life, this experience was extremely disappointing.
