Bidra med feedbackBeautiful fit, looks like a renovated warehouse. came to breakfast and had the toast with creamy mushrooms, avo, and a side of olive oil “hollandaise”. I ate everything in a few minutes. I should slow down and enjoy more, I really should. I'll try again tomorrow, but I think the story will just repeat: service is very friendly.
I've only been twice to Mister's but each time was with a group and everyone got outrageously good food there. Any main selection from the menu can be made vegan, many of the staff are vegan, and same with many of the desserts. But as importantly, they are absolutely masterful of the flavours and textures they want to produce nailing all the right notes for a lunch that is healthy, nutritious, and absolutely delicious without being too intense.
We dined here just before Christmas. The location is ideal if you're staying in the city as it's just off Queen St. This is a very funky place with a wide variety of options for vegans whether you want something savoury for breakfast or lunch or something sweet, or even just a drink. I tried the chia bowl, the granola bowl, the nut butter smoothie, the Black Forest smoothie and I even had a hazelnut cacao. All of the food was delicious. My non vegan family even opted for some vegan options on the menu. They have fresh cakes and cookies to cater for all diets. The best part is the food is organic or locally grown so you know you're getting quality ingredients! The pricing is suitable I believe for the quality of ingredients and the serving size.
I ordered the 'Turkish bowl ' with zucchini fritters, it was layered with cauliflower tabbouleh on the bottom and eggplant hummus, then the fritters and on the top there was fresh greens and a tahini dressing, it was SO delicious!!! I also got a peppermint cup to take away which was also amazing. The cafe is nicely decorated with a good vibe. I 'll definitely be back!
If it wasn't for happy cow's rules, this review would have 5 stars (why exactly are we discouraging veg options being served alongside meat? This does nothing to support the cause, especially in this case where the meat is free farmed only) Anyway, moving on to Misters! I had the Greek bowl, which consisted of zucchini fritters, cauliflower rice and delicious cashew tzaziki. My Omni boy had a Cajun chicken bowl. We both left raving about how delicious and fresh the meals were. I also had a coffee with their own hazelnut milk, super yum, and a well made coffee too. I took home the vegan salted caramel and peanut butter cups. I have zero complaints, the staff were charming, setting is relaxing, open and inviting. They left the pretension at the door, which is something we could learn from. What's more it's a place you can go with just about anyone on any diet and have something delicious. I feel that food should be about uniting people not dividing them, I'm stoked to find a place like Misters. It's got w conscious, but it's not a dick about it. Go for the food, keep going for the food, but also, go to support a really well executed idea of conscious eating.
