Villa Christina - Atlanta

If I could have left a 0 review, I would have. I was expecting more than a typical hotel breakfast bar, as Villa Christina was rated pretty high on the Open Table site. I was just looking for a breakfast/brunch for Father's Day. When I realized it wasn't what I was looking for, I decided that was fine we were there. But the food in spite of the fact that it was all over the buffet warmers was stone cold. Except the oatmeal and grits. The service was terrible constantly having to look for our server for coffee or whatever. And they weren't that busy. But the worst part I was there with my grandson (10 yrs) and granddaughter (2 yrs). Without asking, the server brought my bill, charging $9.50 for the buffet for each of the two kids. I thought that was a bit steep for a 2 year old, so decided to ask about their policy. Since I was unable to get the attention of the server, I went up to her when she was getting drinks for another table. I was informed that they charge for 6 years and up. Under 6 was free. I asked if this 2 year old looked anywhere close to 6. Of course not. When I inquired why she just assumed she should charge without asking me, I was told I was supposed to let her know. I had no idea she would just charge unless I said something. After my complaint, they did remove both $9.50 charges, but to have to complain leaves a bad taste. To leave a restaurant feeling like somebody was attempting to overcharge me is not what I like. I'll never go to Villa Christina again.

Our critical group of ladies who lunch could find nothing here to criticize. I am not usually a fan of buffets, but this one changed my mind and is outstanding every time we visit.

We had ten guests for a business luncheon/meeting, and Villa Christina was very accommodating. Service was terrific. Go on Tuesdays for the bread pudding!

Since Villa Christina has been taken over by Hyatt, neither the menu or service are of the same quality as previously. Our entire party was very disappointed with our dining experience.

Food was mediocre. Took almost 1 hour to get our food. Not many people at the restaurant on Mother’s Day. The only reason we went was because we couldn’t get a reservation for eight people anywhere else. I would not go back.
