Pasta Da Pulcinella - Atlanta

We made reservations for NYE and were unfortunately quite disappointed. From booking our reservation via Open Table, we were not about the special, limited menu that was $90/pp, but we were already about the time we were told about the menu so thought we would make the best of it. Our server was quick to tell us how he was exhausted and how he could not wait after his shift to be wasted on NY. Now we were rushed through the 3 course meal and finished in 45 minutes because they broke out the next course. The food, I had the grilled lobster was below average for such a high ticket price per head. The staff was quick to open the curtains, clean up and turn on the lights as they were ready to close how we finished our drinks at 10:30. I just walked to this restaurant and was really excited to have a new Italian place, but unfortunately after this experience, I don't think we'll be back.

The food was excellent and the service was excellent. The roasted asparagus appetizer was exceptional. Three of us had the ribbed steak; all were made to perfection and tasty. One of our parties had the grilled lobster; they enjoyed it very much. Desserts were good. Our server has an excellent task not to be intrusive, but still to be attentive. The ambience, the food and the service were good enough to check to go back. Comment on Open Table: There was no mention of a Prix Fixe menu when I made the reservation about a week and a half before NYE; we have our selection based on the posted dinner menu. My experience over the years was when it was a special menu for NYE, it was published on Open Table well in advance. I received a message over 96 hours before our reservation that there is a Prix Fixe menu. Because of the timing we have retained the reservation, but we prefer ala carte so that we can taste different dishes together. I'm not sure when the restaurant made the decision to go with Prix Fixe; but I think Open Table must make sure that its users are fully informed.

The food was very mediocre. There was a special fixed price menu for New Year's Eve, about which we didn't know, so for 90 per person we expected a better meal. It can be a better value for the regular menu.

This is a nice little quiet place ,very intimate,food was very much on point,definitely will go back , just hope the new place will have the same vibe as this one was , had a great waiter can’t remember his name but he was definitely on his game S/O to him . Thanks
