J Alexander's Dunwoody - Atlanta

My mom is obsessed with J. Alexander’s, so we come here and order for takeout often. Here’s what I’ve gotten: Old Fashioned Cheeseburger $17): Good. The burger is big. The fries are good, but they don’t hold up as well in takeout. Grilled Salmon around $33; they list it as Market Price): This is delicious!! The salmon was grilled to perfection. The Orzo Wild Rice side that it comes with is amaaaaazing. Alex’s Salad add to entrée for $8): The price for adding this to an entrée has gotten higher, but the portion has gotten smaller. I get it with the champagne vinaigrette dressing and it’s good, but I’m reconsidering ordering it now that it’s $8 and smaller than it used to be. We recently went here for my mom’s birthday and they gave us free carrot cake! It was really good! The dishes are good and the portions are fairly big, but it’s pretty expensive for what it is.

I chose to go to J Alexander's in Atlanta for my birthday and they did not disappoint! Dinner, apps, drinks, the mood and our waitress was absolutely delightful. Romantic lighting, nice relaxing music, absolutely delicious food and great Service. YAS PLEASE THANK YOU! . . . Google Reviews gives J Alexanders stars 4.4 starts and I'd have to give them a tad higher of 4.6. Not only for the tasty food and drink but also the overall look and feel. Thank you for a wonderful Birthday dinner J's. We look forward to coming back to enjoy you again soon. @LiveThruTaste

We had a great Mother’s Day lunch with our moms. Our server Tiana took good care of us. The food was great and we even got a bottle of wine. Oh and shouts to the hostess who secured a table for us despite all of the reservations that were scheduled. She was also awesome!

Husband had prime rib... Delicious. I had the Cajun strip. It was medium instead of medium rare, but tasted great. The bullett old fashion was fabulous. The carrot cake was definitely a shareable slice. Good was delicious. Service was great.

Had a wonderful meal during a surprise party for a friend. The service at the bar and at the tables is very above average. Recommend the excellent chicken and the ahi tuna as well as the sinfully good Mac and cheese. Highly recommended.
