Bidra med feedbackI just stopped by to get a mac n cheese by chance and get green herb. but wow, the staff was great and friendly and eating was amazing! mac n cheese was as if my mother was finished earlier. I will go back to try the entire menu.
The beautiful cashier let me know it was her son's and daughter in laws restaurant. Out of all the chooses in the food hall , I choose to try them because of the warm greeting from the mother. I ordered the fried chicken po boy on April 6, 2022 at around 2pm. I'm giving the day and time because I want the restaurant to know what cook was present at the time. The chips were just ok because some were soggy and some were crispy and they didn't taste fresh. I enjoyed the po boy, the sauce and all the ingredients were great, just wish I had more than one small chicken tender cut up on top. The cook must know that people can see him. While the mother of the son was running back and forth helping and serving customers he is just standing there looking like he was bored. My food wasn't good because he didnt want to be there. The mother is fantastic and I hope come and see her again with a different cook.
Living in Underwood Hills, I usually have to drive 15+ minutes for soul food. A few months ago I discovered Delilahs, located inside Chattahoochee Food Works, and it is really a gem! The food is well seasoned and flavorful. The greens are savory, you can tell they use quality cheese for the mac and the chicken is always perfectly crispy. Their plates are typically ready in 10-15 minutes. The service is phenomenal. I’m always met with a smile and gratitude which I always reciprocate. This is truly one of my favorite places in my neighborhood. Being that it is a black owned business I definitely prioritize them and it is WELL deserved! I encourage everyone to try them out.
Delilahs has some of the best fried chicken that we tried. We had two of their fried chicken sandwiches and we also tried their corn bread. The chicken is cooked to perfection, and very flavorful. The home made chips are delicious and a perfect accompaniment to the sandiwiches.
I visited this black owned establishment on Sunday, January 30, 2022. I noticed they got a 100 health score which is amazing. The staff was extremely nice and professional. I ordered the fried chicken po’ boy which came with homemade chips. The lady at the counter informed me it would take about 15 minutes for my order to be ready. I believe the owners were working this day, and both of them thanked me for ordering my food. When my order was ready, I was handed it directly by the lady at the counter. The chips were crunchy, had a nice salt balance, and were not too greasy. The creole Mayonnaise on the sandwich was tasty and not too spicy. It added a nice balance to the sandwich itself. The chicken po’ boy itself was pretty good and had a mix of white and dark meat chicken chopped up. The bread and butter pickles were a great sweet addition the sandwich and is definitely a classic touch. The bread itself was nice and soft with good texture, but a bit thick. I felt I got more bread than anything with this sandwich. Overall I felt the meal was pretty average and nothing to write home about. I wouldn’t not recommend this place, but I’m not rushing to go back either. Perhaps if I had tried another one of their signature offerings I would feel differently. It was a quick meal that did the job, nothing more nothing less. I definitely feel like as a black person I prioritize patronizing black owned Atlanta businesses over others including this one. If you’re looking for a quick bite to eat and want to visit Chattahoochee Works, you can eat here if you’ve tried some of the other places already like I had.
