Bidra med feedbackWas finally able to stop in at Normaltown Brewing on our way back from an excursion up to the the North Georgia mountains. I grew up in Athens and, in fact, worked for a couple summers and winter break at a moving company that was located not too far from where this brewery is. It 's not really Normaltown, but close enough. Anyway, this is truly what one would term a nano brewery but its beers are anything but tiny. Only five on tap when we stopped in, we were able to get a flight of all five. They were all worthy beers, but was particularly impressed with their New England Hazy, 2100 Fathoms, and their milk stout, Osiris Reborn. The latter is, IMO, world class. While this is undoubtedly the smallest brewery I 've been to, it was well worth stopping by. If you do the Athens brewery tour, don 't miss out on this one!
We had a great time at this brewery, small batches and great flavors. I really enjoyed the oatmeal stout.
One of our favorite breweries in Athens now! We stopped while doing the Athens beer trail. We will definitely be back.

Kind of hard to find, but if you park on the gravel and walk across the bridge, the brewery is pretty much right there, and has a sign. Limited number of taps, but that's okay because the beer is wonderful! Crowlers are offered, and so is a military discount!
