Bidra med feedbackBeautiful combination of Peruvian and Japanese foods. romantic place to go in couple.
Nice place. Big bar and patio. Edible ceviche. A bit overpriced.
They just killed it with their lousy service.. I cannot speak for the cuisine though since there was a black out.. yes,.. a black out and they didn't have a back up system in place and we were requested to pay the 2 bottles of sparkling water we've ordered before the energy event!
Expensive and nasty food!! Ordered octopus. Some twenty very tiny slices of the smallest leg part, chewy and cold with even tinier avocado little pieces. None was possible to pinch with fork. Can’t eat most of the food in the menu so I’ve ordered a steak. More than two thirds were left, all fat and nerves and the other third was tough and uneatable. Felt like unfrozen in a microwave out of the freezer and over cooked, (I’ve asked for well done which doesn’t mean over cooked). Not much light so I couldn’t see well how it looked like before trying to eat it. I’ve ordered octopus as entree and steak as main. On a party of seven, they brought both together arguing I did a “special order”, but some 15 minutes before the rest of the party. When asked how it was, I told them and the answer was I ordered well done. Another in the party had stewed beef...also tough!! So it wasn’t a matter of doneness! Both plus a bottle of water went up to some $50. For this price, you can eat in most of the best restaurants in town where they understand what well done is and the quality of both food and service are way up. Sorry, never again!
Preface: We are a couple traveling with 2 children, 4 and 6 years old. We love good food and love introducing our kids to new cuisines. This is our first time in Asuncion, travelling through Paraguay to see Iguazu Falls. I found Sipan by doing a little research on the dining scene in Asuncion great reviews, fusion food, seems very appealing, so we go. We arrive in Sipan by taxi around 740pm shortly after the place opens, Thursday night. It is EMPTY, only 2 people sitting at a table outside. We approach the hostess, she asks if we have a reservation, we say no. She looks at her list and says we can work something out, after which the restaurant manager comes over looks at us up and down and says no, no tables available. I don't want jump into conclusions, but can't stop to think that we were denied the service because we were either with kids, or we were not dressed well enough, or both. Either way, a bad way to treat fellow travellers who love good food and were ready to spread a good word if the food was as great as everyone says. Thanks for the warm welcome Sipan!
