Bidra med feedbackWasabi was super busy around 8, but we managed to squeeze in spots at the bar. Our waiter was super helpful with figuring out the menu, since there was a paper sheet and a binder. We ordered many things and got most of our food in less than ten minutes, which was great since we were both very hungry. Our rolls that we had ordered got overlooked, but once we asked, he brought them to us. Overall, definitely one of the better places for Japanese cuisine, especially downtown. If you’re looking for something quick and delicious, this is your place.
Great food, good service, 3rd time going, and plan to stop by every time we visit ashville.
Best of AVL for a reason! This is my favorite restaurant in town.
Sadly it's some of the worst nigiri I've ever had. Whoever made my sushi either wasn't trained on how to make it, or trained poorly. The rice had zero vinegar, the fish was razor thin, and they smashed together huge chunks of rice for the nigiri. Some of the pieces I got were double the size of others just due to the rice itself. You could really only taste the rice and not the fish. They charge outrageous prices per nigiri given the quality. I will say the appetizers were good. However, please steer clear of anything more traditional or you'll be very very upset at the price you're about to pay for it. I personally wouldn't ever return.
I hate to be giving this place a bad review because the food tasted great and the service was fantastic, but 5 hours after eating there both my friend and I are very sick and confined to the bathroom with diarrhea. After seeing multiple other reviews mentioning the same thing, I wish we'd never come here. Avoid this place!
