Bidra med feedbackNice! Preisy for a tour, but his beautiful! We have the audio tour I recommend we went when they were decorated for Christmas and I am so happy that we did. For us, this is once to be seen in a lifelong thing, and it was so worth it! Beautiful villa on and still beautiful view of the country they own. The trip to the house was long, but nice! The food was pretty good and the little shops are enchanting!
If you are in the area and love historical architecture, this is definitely a must to visit. Tip: If you go after 4:30, you can buy your ticket for the next day, but access to all outdoor gardens and terraces this evening. That was perfect for me. I walked around and enjoyed all the outdoors when it was cooler late in the afternoon. In this time, as a rule, not many people are allowed to walk around. For great photos! I made the main house itself guided tour and added the roof and staircase tour. It was absolutely worth making the extra tour and seeing areas of the house that you do not see on the regular tour. I added the Monet Friends experience and was somewhat disappointed. I thought there were actual works of art. It was a unique digital experience that was cool, but I would prefer to see artists original work. There is free wine tasting in the winery and it is only by agreement. There is a QR code in the brochure that they give you when buying tickets. There is a pretty good chance that you can get in after your tours. Just scan it when you arrive in the morning and choose your time. I hope you enjoy as much as I do!
Images do not do justice to this place. Just a fantastic and beautiful place. Many parking spaces where you can either go or take a trolley to the property. Make sure you get your time tickets. If you can try to eat the Stables on site at the restaurant. The audio tour is a great addition to explaining all the different rooms throughout Manson. Learn how the rich old money rich people lived. Each room has amazing architects and amazing pieces of furniture. The swimming pool was just ridiculous. You get to see how the help lived and how the ran and maintained the house. It takes a few hours to make the tour. After passing through the house you can go around the grounds. Very easy to spend a whole day here and still not see everything. I hear Christmas is a great time to come, but the spring flowers were also wonderful. Make plans and visit this place, we will be worth your time!
I want to go back to this place. Full history and interesting facts. It is a self-guided tour with phones provided, the curators give you the history of every room turned in the house museum. There are also winery to do wine tasting and you can buy a bottle or 2. The terrain is well maintained and beautiful. This attraction is a must see.
Americas largest privately owned estate or house. A whopping 250 rooms and architectural marvel with well planned layout almost 125 years ago. In addition to the estate castle you can enjoy 8000 acres of ground including a little winery village. Ticket costs $110 for a self guided tour including interiors. I think it is too pricy for the tour having visited much more fancy ones in Europe. Arrangements are well done for parking and tour. You can walk around in the gardens at the back of the castle and also garden on the way to winery village. There is also a Deer park if it is interesting. Worth a visit if you like historic places and enjoy royal walk.
