Thai Tara - Asheville

We stopped in here for lunch, and ordered three different kinds of curry. The curry was flavorful without being too spicy. I liked how many vegetables were in the green curry, and the portion of protein was generous. The miso soup they served as an appetizer was also good. My problem was just with the service. It took a very long time to get the check, and we had to ask for it multiple times. Overall, I think I would come back here for the food, but I would try other places in this up and coming food city first.

We were very skeptical when we walked in because there was no one at lunch time!! Thank goodness we decided to take a chance. Tom Yum, spring rolls, basil fried rice and panang curry were all simply awesome. Don't miss this place if you are in the Grove area. PS: Great customer service as well

We have been eating Thai food made by this family for 20+ years. They are our favorite! We love the satay chicken, mekrob, fresh rolls, etc.

Terrible, terrible service. Went here around 6:30 on a Saturday night. We didn't have to wait for a table, and ordered some appetizers and our entrees. 30 minutes later, none of our food had come out. We asked our server if it would be a while, and she was exceptionally rude and asked if we wanted to cancel our order! Eventually she brought out the papaya salad, and we could tell off the bat that they used the lemon juice from a bottle. Nasty. Curry was watered down and useless. Our server was downright rude and we couldn't wait to leave. Went to Ultimate ice cream to treat myself and the service there was amazing.. As was the cookie dough ice cream! Stay far away from Thai Tara. Lousy food and service is even worse

Always enjoy lunch at Thai Tara! It starts with the owners their friendly greetings service; always big smiles friendly conversation. The food is always top-notch; never disappoints! In all the years coming here since they opened I always enjoy the meal leave looking forward to my next visit!! Definite local favorite!!
