Metro Chinese - Asheville

Indifferent customer service. Not great food, not sure if they make anything from scratch. Only positive is that egg drop and sweet sour soup is good. Every time i go in there they seem like i am bothering them. Not friendly at all.

The food is okay. Not worth the price. The woman work as the cashier is Incredibly rude. This is the second time we’ve had this kind of encounter with her.

Very disappointing! I worked late and arrived at 8:45 pm to pick up my order and they had already closed up on a Friday night. I got my food through a glass window door. The lady gave me the slip to fill out for the bank card. I had already ordered online and left a good 20% tip. While I was trying to sign it, she held on to the slip which was stapled to the menu and almost grabbed it out of my hands while I was signing in a very rude hasty manner- like she was rushing me out. I didn't say anything, but thanked her. But, was very offended after being a customer. So, for the food- quality-the food was even more disappointing. The rice had chicken that was barely cooked with onions- no real vegetable ingredients like classic fried rice with peas, carrots, /or eggs, etc. And, the flavor was not good, way over salted and the egg rolls were so hard they were inedible. A huge red flag for Chinese take-out in North Asheville. Bad Quality and Customer Service. Horrible, they should close their business for sure- ;

Egg roll was cold inside, Gen Joes chili greasy, tasted freezer burn. Chef/host/ cashier was brusk unfriendly. I’ll never be back.

Horrible. We ordered General Tso chicken and it’s not even spicy and they did not even give us any utensils to eat with and it’s a door dash order. Called the store and they don’t even care and I can’t even understand their English. We have lived in Hawaii most our adult life so can understand most Asian accents so this was a case of them not wanting to correct a order so making it impossible to communicate with them. Food taste ok otherwise but fyi spicy food is not even spicy not even a slight tingle to the taste buds. Communication is severely lacking. No eating utensils, no soy sauce, no spicy mustard. Ok do not order from here the dumplings are dough and gross. The fried rice is not fried it’s yellow rice as the photo shows.Learn from our mistake and don’t waste your money here. FYI I asked my husband if he could understand the woman on the other end of the phone as I had it on speaker and he is a retired Navy veteran and has been in Korea, China, and Japan and has worked on a ship with Japanese sailors for a month trip so has the most experience with Asian languages. He could not even understand her because she was purposely speaking a mix of English with a heavy accent so as not to communicate with the customer. BTW in all those other countries he has never had any trouble communicating or understanding the other person. When in a work place it is important to be able to understand and communicate with the other person.
