Bidra med feedbackIf you like bbq, then you will love this place. Make sure you check for when they are open, as we went by on a Saturday, and they were closed. The meat is fantastic, and the sides are awesome. I had the pulled pork plate, which comes with 2 sides, and I added a taste of ribs (3 ribs) with the pineapple habanero sauce. The ribs fell off the bone and had a crispyness to it and were simply delicious. The sides I had were cheese and jalapeno grits, and the smoked potato salad. Both sides were great. Some people had the mac n cheese, the fried pickles, and a couple of other sides, which were also all delicious. The kicker was the prices. My plate minus the 3 ribs was $16. The portions are sizable, and all of us were stuffed when we left. This is a must if you go to Asheville. Be warned there is a line that forms so be prepared.
Great food. Great sandwich and great sides: beans, handcut fries, pulled pork with free coleslaw inside sandwich on a toasted bun
Prepare to wait in a long line unless you catch an odd time. The food was excellent. Pricing was high, but not too outrageous. I’ll be back
The food at 12 bones was very good. The only problem was that it didn 't compare favorably with my memory of the ribs from years ago. The sauce was great, but the ribs were dry and a bit chewey from having been slightly overcooked (in my opinion). I don 't travel to Asheville often, and today 's meal made 12 bones drop one notch in my unofficial rating scheme from the must go again ASAP to the solid choice for good eats category. My favorite side dish remains the jalapeño cheese grits. Yummmmm.
Both had the ribs and sides. Ribs were a little tough but tasty. Slaw and baked beans were very good. Sweet potato mash was sweet and too buttery. Green beans were average. A little pricey.
