I’ve thought that Racecourse Road has become the forgotten food precinct in Brisbane as have not been there or heard about anything much happening here for what seems ages. Decided to come and scope it out and then chose One Fifty purely based on it looking the ‘smartest’. Food was spot on and in that frenchy, modern Australian ilk but it was the service that left us feeling like we can’t wait to be back!<br/
A perfect lunch with delicious food, great service and lovely decor. I really like the changes that have been made to what was previously Baguette’s. The decor is fresh and modern and the food is likewise. The fettuccine marinara was delicious and perfectly seasoned. The asparagus with a 60 degree duck egg and parmesan crumb was a perfect side dish. I wish I’d had time to stay for dessert and hope to return again soon.
I’ve been meaning to come here for a while and I finally got a chance. The fit out and decore are beautiful. A clean and modern space with a great vibe. This is exactly what Ascot needed. I got the arancini and sliders as a starter. The arancini was fantastic. My main was the scallop and ricotta gnocchi dumplings. The scallops were cooked to perfection, they had a golden crust and a nice sweetness which was complemented by the gnocchi, Parmesan and sage. The service was attentive. Will be returning for dinner!
Decided to give this place a try as I hadn't been since the refurb. Was blown away by the decor! such a great design and atmosphere. The customer service was welcoming and consistent throughout the evening and the waiter left us smiling every time he came to the table. Lots of great choices on the menu making it hard to decide but ended up settling on the lamb rump. Very impressed with the chefs effort as the rump was delicious. Great choices for wine and the waiter that took our drinks order was very accommodating and knowledgeable on the list. Superb service, excellent food and tasty wines. This place is the gem of ascot.
I made a resavation for dinner on Tuesday with a group of friends, the staff really nice the food was phenomenal decently worth the money. Cocktails where perfect I couldn't fault the Southside. Definitely worth the travel and I will be back.
