Amaiya - Ascot

I had amaiya for the full gastronomic experience. it said it was opened at 17 o'clock, we hoped to arrive at 5.30/6 for cocktails before eating and shisha. but it was closed. After they hang around, they left us. around 6.30 and explained they had a booking of 60, I explained I booked the table around 7 clock and asked me how we ordered to eat, then we did not have a chef at the moment.

Me and my friend went to this shisha lounge at the weekend. It was half full. The Pros are: Lots of parking spaces, delicious food, lovely setting in terms of the shisha terrace, enough of heaters as its an outdoor are, very modern and comfy sofas. The cons: the staff need training, the waitresses didn't know the menu not even what soft drinks they had, so one kept going off to ask the other one, no itemised bill, they just bring you the card machine with amount to pay, very unprofessional you have no idea what you had been charged for and if includes service charge, the boy who was taking shisha orders (as it's done separate to the food order) also didn't know anything about shisha, we asked what flavours is Love66 made up of, we had to google, the shisha itself wasn't smoking despite him changing the coal. The music was great, RnB, me and my friend enjoyed it a lot, the only problem was it was way too loud. Tips for management: educate the staff and provide some sort of uniform or more suitable clothing as the waitresses went all out. It was more of an Essex vibe than authentic shisha experience.

Amazing night. Great food. Very clean Shisha. Table service. The events manager Vicky always made sure drinks were topped up and everyone was entertained…10/10
