Bidra med feedbackI'm not too big on thai take-out. or in general) so I will compare this place with other din-in Thai restaurants... so... incomparable! Lounge decoration with trendy furniture nelson pendant, tulip chairs), template walls, cute characters “ice baby” on their ice machine... etc.), of course... the saltwater tank. all dimmy/ artistically illuminated and vibrating on lounge music. the food is authentic on my limited knowledge of the Thai cuisine). I liked everything I tried, it's a great late night to eat, and actually my mother's favorite to become her friends. So when you come by lunch, you'll hang out with the cool moms.
This restaurant has been through a lot of drama with public health inspectors. I remember eating there for the first time when they had a B. Then things began to go downhill when they got a C. After what seemed like an incredibly long time of sporting a C, they could somehow get an A. And to be honest, I'm proud that they work hard enough to get an A. (I guess it makes me a little less rough for eating in a former C-restaurant. I'm kidding. Compared to other Thai restaurants I was in the area, her restaurant is attractive. (Maybe it has something to do with their restaurant being relatively new? The chairs in the restaurant are white and have an interesting look. Their walls are light brown/tan and carry an interesting design (the same design found on their website. They also hung a T.V. and Thai dolls on a wall. You have a lot of waiters. You probably think that's a good thing. But it's not. Your waiters are average when it comes to customer service. It's hard to explain. Sure, they put you, take your order and ask how your meal is, but this is basically almost it. Whatever happened to say goodbye to you as you go? There were two waiters standing next to the checkout (near the entrance/output of the restaurant and they weren't even worried to say goodbye when I left. Is it hard to say goodbye or thank you? This happened to me more than once, so I know it wasn't because she didn't see that I left the restaurant. You can definitely improve in the area of customer service. Another area to work on is Takeout. I have ordered food to go before and every time I have a hot product (e.g. a kind of soup, it was always placed in a plastic container. Plastic containers are not made for hot items! Styrofoam containers are made for hot items! It will upset me because they should know better than pour hot food into a plastic container. (If the plastic container remains long enough, the container finally begins to bend. Try it as an experiment if you don't believe me! Back to the waiters... I waited for my order while I read magazines belonging to the restaurant. My order was done, but the waiter who took my order didn't know. Another waiter noted that I waited too long and asked me what I had ordered to go. A brown bag placed near the cooking counter, as who knows when happened to be mine. I'm glad this special waiter took note of me, but annoyed that I had to wait longer than I had to eat. I think that explains why I give them three stars instead of four stars. (I want to give them four stars, but their customer service is not at the level where I want it. Also worth mentioning, the male waiters seem more friendly than the female waiters. You seem to smile more. Another note is that their restaurant will close later than other nearby Thai restaurants. UPDATE (AS of 6/11/2010 Despite the A, her food has gone downhill, tasty. I'm pretty surprised that so many people even disturb to come to Sweetee Thai Cafe when their food has become so tasteless. Her food has become dirty and fat. (Not a good combination at all unless you like to be your food bland and super fat! I will say, however, that their desserts are still good and their rag cakes are good (it's just a little fat. UPDATE (AS 10/23/2011) I once gave this restaurant a rating of four stars. Unfortunately, this restaurant no longer deserves four stars. If there was a way to give this restaurant 0 stars, I would definitely not give them any stars. This restaurant is bad and if I say bad, I mean bad. You should avoid all costs. Recently I went to this restaurant and was very disappointed by their lack (practical not available from customer service. I was also disappointed with the presentation of her food and the amount of food that was given. Back to overview Customer service here is not available. If you are large in customer service, avoid this restaurant like the plague. Do not expect you to be warmly welcomed when you enter this restaurant. In fact, do not even expect a smile. (You'd be happy if you have a hello from any of their workers. Waiters/Witresses are like feet zombies. So, I understand you do your job, but can you at least not act as customers enter your domain to beg food? What I want to say is that none of the workers are hospitable there. The food took forever to come. When we ordered, there was practically no one in the restaurant. However, when the restaurant began to fill, we noticed that the customers who had come after us had already received their order. Where were our orders? It took about 45 minutes before we even got our food and none of the workers seemed to notice or take care. Once I finally got my order, the other person had to wait 10 minutes with me before she got her order. It was incredibly ridiculous! I don't know who hired or trained these waiters/waxes, but none of them has the basics of customer service. That's right, not even the basics! I recognized some familiar faces (students/students from the last time that I had dined here and even their level of customer service went down the drain. What happened? I have no idea, but all I know is that there is something really wrong in this place and it makes the atmosphere staggering and uninviting. I start asking if this is the idea of the customer service. If so, you just lost a loyal customer. (I consider myself loyal as I manage to order monthly. Since I haven't eaten in a while, I've been wondering exactly how long this poor customer service has been over. Ah! Goodbye Sweete Thai Cafe. Your food is not sweet and not your service. When we were ready to leave the restaurant, we asked a waitress to make us a box for my Tom yum goong noodles. It never came; we ended up with another waitress for a box before we finally get one. Strange. The rad noodles that the other person who had ordered with me were not what we would call a bang for your bang. It was a small amount of wheel noodles. I forgot exactly how much it cost, but for about $8 she definitely earned more than what was served. To make something worse, the noodles were placed on a humble dish, in excess rad na gravy penetrated to give the dish a "nall for your Buck" effect. The effect did not work because the person who had eaten this dish was still hungry after completion of the plate. (FYI: This comes from a person who usually gets full after half the plate. When the waitress brought the wheel noodles to our table, she brought a knife. A knife with a wheel noodle? Can anyone tell me who eats noodles with knives in the world? Maybe a five years old with a lively imagination, but an adult eat noodles with a knife? What's in the world with this restaurant? It was a first in a Thai restaurant and I found it strange. None of us had asked for a knife, so why the knife? We have eaten here in the past and they have never given a knife for pasta dishes. Uncanny and strange. The wheel noodles were very lumpy. If you have no choice but to eat in this restaurant, avoid their pasta dishes. They have a very bad and rotten habit, not torn apart noodles before they cook in a pan (fried noodles or pot (soup). However, if lumpy noodles are your thing, you could for a treat at Sweete Thai Cafe. You have something for effects in this restaurant. My Tom-Yum-Gong noodles were placed in a large bowl, but only a small amount of Tom-Yum-Gong noodles were given to me. They also did not give me a sufficient amount of tone-yum-gong soup to go with my noodles. I had this court enough time to know that what she gave me was definitely much less than the norm. I'm not too happy at all. I know that the economy is bad, but I doubt it would burn a hole in the owner's pocket by giving customers a more reasonable amount of food. I can go on with a few things here and there, but that basically makes it together. I can only say they lost a loyal customer. I do not intend to go back here, especially if there are other Thai restaurants nearby. Why come here if you are not served well and get a mediocre amount of food?
The first time we've discovered her IG site. Finally, you have to try out your food. Spring rolls (Eggrolls), fish patties, Thai boat noodle and pad see ew beef. Service type was great, he even explained the noodle that I don't just want to try because some people who don't like it?. I haven't risked it yet, so I have the n Thai restaurant: Pad see ew. The part is huge. definitely share?. Flavour is there, but when exchanged that w wok a flame and get this char smoke taste, it will be 10/10... but it's still great tho. Boot Nudel was good, but a lil cute for both of us. Vinegar Jalapenos help cut this part a bit. Fish cake is super light and fragrance with the kaff. Lime leaves. But no fan of sweet sauce. Eggrolls was okay, not something I would try again. But overall there are menu selections compared to other Thai restaurants we were. 4/5. And will definitely try other dishes?
Never disappointed. I love the cypress place. This location tastes exactly the same. My entire staff at work loved their dishes, plan to make it a Friday thing. Keep the big work!!
Just one of the WORST places I have thrived in this decade. Absolutely terrible experience. food was not fresh, the beef was tasteless, probably frozen for some time; the Thai stew/soup was a watery mess; the server was replaced by a Latina dishwasher that not only asked us to hurry and leave, because others waited, but also demanded that we leave an additional tip after having already been on our party of three. My older father was so shocked by malnutrition, rude servants and the way we were treated that he almost cried. Seriously, what happened to this place? Sweets Thai gets a BIG FAT ZERO and we will never come again. EVER.
