Bidra med feedbackWe enjoyed a fantastic day on Ile de Re, and decided to stop in Ars en Re for a late lunch. This was the perfect place in the little square by the church. Everything in the counter looked delicious and it was! We had a salmon wrap, a salmon baguette, a tuna baguette, a tuna quiche and crisps. It was all fresh and tasty, with really crunchy, chewy baguettes. We ate outside under the shady trees, and it was a lovely place for a French lunch. The cakes and pastries also looked amazing.
After driving for over two hours, after we parked the first thing we needed was a coffee. This was the first cafe that we came across, and in the shop were two very helpful ladies, behind a counter full of the most tempting cakes, pastries and sandwiches. Temptation got the better of us and we both had one of the home made cakes with our drinks. Sitting outside we had a lovely view of all that was going on in the square, and thoroughly enjoyed our little taste of french pattiserie!
A boulangerie with ready made salads, sandwiches, paninis etc. Nice tables and chairs outside, all set in the central square by the pretty church. It was ideal for a quick lunch stop, and we enjoyed the food recommended in that context.
Diversité de plats salés et de desserts sucrés assez faible. Carte pas très clair. Sandwich okay mais sans plus. Store contre le soleil non fonctionnel.
