The Log Inn Pub - Armstrong

We stopped at Avola to get some snacks from the gas station. The guy was so rude and did not let us in to purchase anything as we were not buying gas. Guess he was having a bad day. Noticed the sign to the Log Inn Pub, with the motorbike on top. Went down the road and found a wee jem of a place. Friendly folk and a pub that just makes you want to stay. Sadly we were just stopping for a coffe and soda, but the food looked delicious. Will definitley aim to stay a night if we are ever back in the area. Get the feeling it would be a good night amongst fun people. Also we need to work out how to drop a coin into the shot glass at the bar. Highly recommended as a stop off on the way up highway 5.

We try to stop every time we travel through. The Log Inn Pub has the best burgers, it is well worth stopping.

We stopped in Avola on our way back from the rockies. We booked a night there and i knew it would be a special something. It was super! The owner who rents out 2 little "chalets" gave us a warm welcome. He offered us to stay in his house, as it would be much more comfortable than the little houses we booked. In the summer he stays in his big trailer and leave his house for the guests when possible. We had a very comfortable stay. And the we had a great dinner in the pub. Great burgers? be sure, the best ever! And not only the burgers are good! Avola is really a very small place, there is nothing more there, but it is really worth the stop! I keep an unforgettable memory of the place and the man! In the neighbourhood again, i would even drive extra miles to go there again.

We were driving from Jasper to Revelstoke and in desperate need of somewhere to stop for lunch and saw the billboards for the worlds best burger in Avola and so we stopped off and had two 'worldies' and were not disappointed! Delicious food and a warm host make this a great pit stop for anyone driving that route!
