Indian Zaika Restaurant - Armidale

The food at this restaurant was incredible. While the service was slow in terms of ordering, serving, and paying, it was definitely worth the wait. It's been a long time since I've been so excited by the taste of food; every dish was fantastic and bursting with flavor. This was not your typical Aussie Indian cuisine. I especially loved the heat scale, and it was great that those who enjoy spicy food could challenge themselves with 'Indian hot'! Despite the slow service, the staff were still very friendly and helpful, and we were pleased that the owner took the time to speak with us. We will definitely be returning, but we hope that they improve on their speed. Overall, the food was absolutely delicious!

This charming restaurant is a hidden gem with tasty and affordable vegetarian dishes. You can bring your own alcohol with no corkage fee. The atmosphere is peaceful and laid-back. We are thrilled we decided to dine here! The zucchini pakoras were fantastic.

We were not sure where to get good vegan food in Armidale and by chance came into this restaurant. The chef made fresh samosa on the spot and the most fresh and delicious palak paneer and aloo mater. Best Indian food I've eaten for ages. Thanks to the chef!

Great little family run place, the lamb vindaloo was the best I have ever had. The red fish curry was great with the Nana's being a wonderful surprise, lite and crispy.
