Bidra med feedbackThe food at this restaurant is excellent, especially the lunch specials. However, the standout feature is the staff. They are incredibly accommodating and attentive. I recently attended a birthday party here after being turned away from another location, and it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The owner went above and beyond to ensure our party was a success. I would give this restaurant a 5-star rating!
Called in the other day for a cup of tea and something small to eat I ordered French toast and tea. The waitress was a lovely girl and very attendive. I've had better French toast but this wasn't bad. Theree were quite afew people in the restruant coming and going for morning coffee. I would go back again.
I stopped by this restaurant for a late breakfast, thinking it was a traditional retro spot. Upon closer inspection, I realized it was just a bit dated in terms of decor. Nevertheless, since it was a cafe, I didn't mind. We ordered breakfast and the friendly but slightly overwhelmed staff informed us that there may be a bit of a wait due to the influx of customers. I ordered eggs Benedict, which came out a bit disappointing with a lettuce leaf, half a tomato, and sauce from a jar on top. My wife's poached eggs on toast were returned as the eggs were too hard. Despite our disappointment with the food, the waitress kindly gave us a £5 refund, which we initially declined. However, the manager insisted we take it and apologized for the mistake. While we appreciated their efforts to make amends, they really need to work on their egg-cooking skills.
Good place to have quick and cheap lunch. Classic will always be there. There is no a la cart, however good lunch shouldn't cost you a fortune. Give it a try, next time you are in citi centre.
Called in here for a spot of lunch, even though it was past lunch time there was still a very good selection, we choose the veg soup with granary bread and the French toast with maple syrup and bacon, a cup of tea and a cold drink, the service was excellent, the food was fabulous, lovely hot soup and the most delicious fresh granary bread, and so nice to get a decent cup of real tea instead of the usual wishy-washy luke warm coloured water you get in a lot of places, The French toast and bacon was a big hit with the OH, well worth visiting, we will definitely be back. Cannot rate it highly enough, good honest down to earth food. 5
