Bidra med feedbackI get take out here quite often. It's what you expect of Chinese-American food. My food always comes out the way I expect; they're very consistent on that. They give good sized portions, typically enough for me to have two full meals! They're also quick to have my food ready for me. Sure, the ladies that work the register aren't super friendly, but they do the job quick, and do it right. I've dined in and got actual plates. I've never seen other customers get paper plates either.
The food is pretty decent but a bit too salty on some dishes. I don't think the manager knew that we could speak Chinese and understand what she was saying to the cooks. My dad had ordered chow mein (noodles). The lady tried to convince us not to get it, but my dad insisted. Later, she was standing in the kitchen and ranting to the cook about how persistent my dad was to order chow mein. The building was pretty small, so we could hear everything. When we got the dish, it had no noodles, only meat and vegetables. We didn't mind that much though, since the food was great.
I 'll be honest, as a well traveled person and I spent almost a year in SE Asia for work, Sichuan Wok was as close to the genuine Asian food I got during my Asian travels. It was never that 'American-Chinese ' food you get with other restaurants, which is what made it so great. Yesterday I found out they are closed permanently and I 'm a little disappointed that my favorite lunch place is now closed and not because they went out of business. I hope they plan to open again sometime in the future and hopefully in same general vicinity.
General Tso's chicken was ok, ease in ordering and convince to Ballston residents makes it a good choice for quick meal.
Add me to the peeps that don't get the bad reviews This is very solid American Chinese food with very good Lo Mein and dumplings.
