I've come here so many times over the years, always enjoyed everything about my visits and the memories made. Unfortunately the Poughkeepsie location will be closing :

Delicious food, and the fact it has its own parking lot near Vassar is awesome.Got the meat lovers pizza and it was one of the best I've had in the area. Reasonably priced and absolutely fantastic.The rest of my party got the salmon artichoke special they had and everyone loved it

The only thing better than the fresh pasta was the service! This adorable downtown restaurant embodies the hospitality mantra of “Teamwork makes the dream work”! And that penne was like a religious experience.

I was absolutely starving and in the mood for pizza. I decided to order pick up from The Tomato Cafe because I've never been there. They have gluten free options, which convinced me that the time had come. Right after placing my order, I received a phone call from Sean regarding my order. I ordered the gluten free bruschetta pizza. He called to let me know that although I'd ordered no onions, they were already mixed into the bruschetta toppings mix. He said he would tell the cook to try to pick out any large chunks when topping it. I'm not an onion fan but I really appreciated that phone call. I would have been upset if they just ignored the request for no onions without any explanation. I appreciated the customer service. When I picked up the pizza, the interior was bright and open. Customers were seated apart and it wasn't busy. It's definitely a place I'd like to dine in with in the future. My food was ready upon arrival. My pizza was absolutely delicious. I was worried about the gluten free crust since they aren't all created equally. This crust was SO good. It didn't taste like a cracker and actually tasted like pizza crust. The pizza was a little smaller than other places I've ordered GF pizzas from for the cost. Overall, I was pleased and will be returning.
