New York Eats - Arlington

I consider this restaurant to be legendary. I am writing this review quite belatedly. I moved to Arlington in 2015 and discovered New York Eats situated right behind my apartment. Upon my first visit in 2015, I immediately fell in love with the food. The chicken over rice and Manhattan platter were the popular choices at New York Eats. A unique aspect of the platters is the ability to customize with various toppings such as regular fries, curly fries, falafel, or pita. In 2016, they introduced a new menu with a variety of platters and additional toppings, further increasing their popularity. The white sauce and red sauce are what make the platters extra delicious. The red sauce is incredibly spicy, and they even offer a super spicy platter called Hell's Kitchen. In addition to the platters, they also serve fantastic halal burgers and wraps made with the same halal meat. I have enjoyed approximately 50 platters since 2015. The last time I dined there was two weeks ago, and it brought back nostalgic memories of visiting frequently during my college days with friends. Although I am aware of Halal Guy's, I still prefer New York Eats over it.

The portions at this restaurant are large. We ordered the NY Burger and the Manhattan, both of which tasted great and were well seasoned. The eat-in area is small, but there is plenty of parking available. The restaurant is located across from the university parking lot. We will definitely be returning.

GREAT GREAT place to eat. Authentic cuisine that was prepared to perfection. Preparation time was appropriate. The staff was exceptionally friendly, courteous and just as sweet as she could be! Thank you for a delightful experience with an awesome meal.

I wouldn't even give this place a one-star rating. My daughter wanted to try it because it was halal, but it was not worth it at all. The food was overpriced, the burger was covered in too many types of cheese, and it didn't look appetizing. The taste was awful, the meat was undercooked, and the texture was unpleasant. There was no flavor and I will never go back. I am willing to pay more for good food, but if it's not good and overpriced, I will definitely not return.

Their food was alright, but qualities been getting worse in the past 3 months, got the garden platter and I usually enjoy their food. Today found a piece of metal in my platter, not sure what it was a part of, but if I had ate that, it could?ve done somedamage. (was pretty sharp) Plz fix these issues your having with your staffing and whoever?s making the food def needs to bemore careful. Won?t be going here for a while.
