Bidra med feedbackGood service, nice food but very expensive seafood for dinner. We arrived with no wine as there were no signs to say it’s not licenced.
Distinctly average food and no tap water provided. I’ve never known anywhere that didn’t provide tap water and we didn’t want to use plastic bottled water that was the main alternative. Waitress was unhelpful and food took a while to come. OK if the pub isn’t serving food yet but wasn’t impressed.
Craig house is the centre of Jura. The Antlers is right in the middle of Craighouse. They do good Coffee. Good cake. But they do better breakfasts and better dinner meals. And they are lovey people. So go.
A member of staff at the Ardbeg distillery recommended the Antler Cafe when she asked what we were doing that day and I had said a visit to Jura. Well she gave a great recommendation. We had a lovely lunch served by absolutely great staff who were really friendly and helpful. We all had a filling, tasty lunch and were set up for the day. The lunches are generous and with a serving of island hospitality. We absolutely loved Jura so much so we had to return 2 days later for another visit. There is something really, really special about this island and place. Thanks to the staff at the Antler cafe for making us feel so welcome. Highly recommend. They do specials of lobster and langoustine and venison (all local).
Great food, great view, lovely people. Fresh local food including venison and seafood. Ice creams served as well to takeaway.
