If you are looking for a friendly, welcoming, well-run English bar in Argeles, don't look further. Susan and Franz are the most hospitable hostess and hostess or landlady and landlady you could ever wish when you cool with a pleasant cold drink....They served my cedar with a smile and made us feel very welcome from the moment we entered the bar. If you want al a carte cuisine and prices this is not the place, but if you want good old fashion pub grub at a good price cakes and peas are amazing, oh and the curry) then this is right on your street. I can only say that there is an attempt, you will not be disappointed. We love seeing Sue Franz on George and Dragon! We're so glad they're back after they've been absent for the past few years. Your Walm greeting and fun nights have been missed by many!...They offer a wide selection of British beers and lemons at very reasonable prices (4.90 € a pint must be the cheapest price in the resort of Argelès Homemade fish and chips are the best! Respect for both of you because you do such a fabulous job: What a great place to watch the 2018 World Cup with fabulous people!

I've been here a few times and couldn't recommend it enough. The couples who run it, Susan and Franz are a beautiful couple who always felt welcome to me and my friends. Cheapest beer in the area, as well as a wide selection of British ales and fruity apples! I tried everything the menu has to offer and couldn't owe anything! They show all sports, have a pool table and a dart board as well as a book corner! I honestly couldn't find anything bad to say about the place! Not sure which side of the bed has often been wrong when he wrote that review below, but I think it is completely inaccurate and unfair!! Keep the good work Susan and Franz!!!

This resort needs a George and Dragon like it needs forest fires, thunderstorms and the Med version of a Tsunami. The couple who ‘run ‘ this bar seriously need to give up the ghost and cut their losses. It is dire beyond belief and with...the few clientele (Irish who need a game of pool to get them through a fortnight in paradise with their children they must be losing money hand over fist plus what s worse bringing the entire resort down in everyone’s estimation. However if you want: Warm overpriced drinks Frozen English pie and chips (do not order any fresh food here under any circumstances Random pricing Cool if not cold welcome Dire depressing surroundings Then you may just love it! You’ll be one of very few! Harsh but entirely true it is disrespectful to genuine restaurateurs, chefs and proprietaires to continue to operate a business in this fashion.
