After visiting the famous churches and art in Arezzo, we wanted to enjoy the piazza at lunch. This place had tables in the upper corner of the piazza and it served us a nice tray of appetizers and an excellent pizza.
On arrival at Arezzo we were pleased to find a restaurant with a gluten free menu. Hurrah! We thought. ...so we spent a lovely day in Arezzo then hung around for the place to open..and waited. .and waited. ..finally someone appeared at 6 and disappeared inside. The doors opened at 6:45 and on enquiry we were told that they might be ready at 7:15pm but also might be read by 7:30pm! ..so I arranged for the four of us to return at 7:30 and reminded the staff member that one diner was coeliac so the meal for him was 'senza glutine '. On returning at 7:30, the restaurant was far from open and we were told that there was no gluten free food. When I pointed to the externally advertised menu I was informed 'oh that 's finished! ' Needless to say we did not stay...probably better having read some of the reviews. .we did however have a delicious meal attended by courteous staff at Luck further down in Arezzo. ..so my advice. ..go to Luck instead!
Nice and fast service. The view is beautiful from the tables. The pizza is delicious, though would be even better with more salame. ; Fantastic experience here to look the Arezzo Back in Time festival.
The ouside seating area overlooks Arezzo's pittoresque Piazza Grande. Pizzas are average, maybe even below. Wine is also average, but overpriced. Service is friendly. Typically a plaxe to go for the view, not for the best food.
