Bidra med feedbackMy first time in Peru. A surprising number of Chinese restaurants (Chfa in Peru). I am ethnic Chinese, so I had to taste Peruvian style Chinese food. Designed on Zheng for a personal recommendation and it is a nice looking restaurant (for the first time I did not want to try a hole in the wall Chifas! The restaurant looks like a PF Chang 's with replicated terra cotta warrior at the entrance and in the restaurant. It was only 7:00, so our party of six immediately without reservation. The restaurant was filled after 8:00. We shared an appetizer of fried tons that were fine; it had a little pork / ham not the usual pork/shrimp filling. For the power supplies we shared Brat duck, shrimp fried rice, chicken and a trout dish. The food came warm, but not hot. The duck lacked taste, the trout was so-so, but the fried rice and chicken were both good, although not excellent. Nice that I tried, but I prefer Chinese food (Dimsum, Beijing Ente, etc....not Americanized Chinese can be found in a typical grocery store in North America. Many good Peruvian restaurants to choose from in Arequipa.
My first time in Peru. A surprising number of Chinese restaurants (called "chifa" in Peru). I am ethnically Chinese so I had to try Peruvian style Chinese food. Decided on Zheng because of a personal recommendation plus it is a nice looking restaurant (for my first time, I did not want to try one of the hole in the wall chifas!) The restaurant looks like a PF Chang's with replicate terra cotta warriors at the entrance and in the restaurant. It was still only 7 pm so our party of six was seated right away without a reservation. The restaurant did fill up after 8 pm. We shared an appetizer of fried won tons which were okay; it had a bit of pork/ham not the usual pork/shrimp filling. For the mains we shared roast duck, shrimp fried rice, chicken and a trout dish. The food came warm but not hot. The duck lacked flavor, the trout was so-so but the fried rice and chicken were both good though not outstanding. Glad I tried it but I much prefer Chinese food (dim sum, Peking duck, etc...not Americanized Chinese you find in a typical shopping center food court) in North America. Lots of good Peruvian restaurants to choose from in Arequipa.
