Bidra med feedbackWe were recommended here by some local friends like: “The Best Chifa” in Arequipa. Sad the expectations where high and the overall experience was bad. Service was terrible, minimum covid protocols were respected and the food was not good at all. We ordered 2...Menu as dishes called “Combinado” consisting of a protein cook and fried rice, even thought the flavors where well, both of the dishes came cold (some ingredients colder than others, which made it even stranger). I felt that the food was not freshly cooked, or even fresh at all. I would not recommend this restaurant for foreigners although if you have a desire for Chinese/Peruvian fusión, they can develop great flavors!
I was poisoned after eating sui mai with shrimps. The place looks good from the outside, but the food is not safe to eat.
I was here and paid about 110 suns, including tip for two people to eat. the taste was great I had a kind of sweet and sour meat and a few other dishes I have a video, but can't post it here. Had her Pisco... that it wasn't bad and a coke helmet as you say for a cold soda you said helado pronounced elado. I could remember the other dish I had it was great it was popular among locals. Ask her. It was cold, I think. It's worth a visit. If you transfer it all to American dollars, it is not too expansive, but for what I usually paid, it was pricy. If you like Chinese food, it's a good place to tell the taxi driver the name, they should know if they don't show them the address on this page in yanahuara. It is worth 1 meal
I need a Chinese food and it's hard to do in South America. There are many Chinese who live here, but they say the locals understand or prefer Chinese food. So they change it to meet local taste. Excellent results are the...saltado and small Chifa's with fried rice dishes. But Fong Mey is so different. They serve well prepared real food. It is not as spicy as I like it, so when I return, I will ask them to add fresh ginger (Jeiber) and soy sauce (soya) and tamarind sauce so that I spice it on a tad. But I really enjoyed my meal here. I ordered the house special Carne de la plancha (Bef and Veggies including Pea Pods) and the house special Chop Suey (loving combination of vegetables with pork, shrimp). The portions are huge and they make a very nice job boxing on the left. I had enough for two more meals!
Great Chifa restaurant in Arequipa! Our portions were so large, we had to ask for boxes to take the leftovers with us. Our server was very patient while we decided what to order (with our very limited Spanish) and the food arrived quickly and tasted...wonderful! I had the beef and mushrooms and was pleasantly surprised to get so much more than that on my plate.
