Bidra med feedbackI took my daughter to this restaurant for lunch because I was eager to try it out. Despite it being Saturday market day in Ards, the place was empty even though it has a view overlooking the market. Upon entering, we were unsure if they were still serving as there was no visible food on display, which was a bit off-putting. After looking at the boards, we found the selection to be limited until the server pointed us to the stack of mini menus. The selection was actually better than we initially thought. I ordered the chickpea stir fry, which was delicious but too much for me to finish. My daughter had the soup, which she found to be bland. However, the oaten bread served was lovely. The restaurant itself could use some improvement. It has a great location with a nice view of the market, but it feels like something more could be done with the space. A major downside was that my tea was served in a cup with the tea bag still in it, instead of in a teapot. This seemed quite low-quality for a cafe as I had nowhere to put my used tea bag. Overall, it's a decent restaurant with potential, but they should consider investing in teapots for a better dining experience.
I went to the restaurant with my daughter and son-in-law. The salads were delicious, but the soup was quite bland, which was a bit disappointing. The staff were friendly and attentive, but the prices seemed a bit high for what we ordered. I'm not sure if I would return to this restaurant.
Really enjoyed the non-fry fry and the gluten free coconut cookie. Great to have such a good choice of GF and healthy food for a change.
My daughter and I popped in one morning for quick coffee. I had slice of fat free tea loaf, washed down with a lovely Americano. Tea loaf was beautiful and coffee piping hot and lovely. Daughter enjoyed a date and oat cookie! I sampled a little bit and it was delicious. We look forward to returning for a bite of lunch some day. Best view of newtownards from their window! Watch the world go by.
I recently visited Eats Healthy on High Street in Newtownards for a quick coffee. I enjoyed a delicious coffee and a surprising beetroot and apple muffin. I also picked up a takeaway of their rice noodles with couscous, vegetables, and prawns for dinner, which was one of the best takeaways I've had in a long time. The meal was filling yet light, and my taste buds loved it. The staff was friendly and helpful, and everything is made in-house. They also make their own peanut butter and almond and cinnamon butter, of which I ordered the almond one. Eats Healthy recently moved into town from Kiltonga and is definitely worth a visit. I plan on going back this Friday and will be taking a gluten-free friend there next Wednesday. I hope the cafe does well as it is truly worth a visit.
