Stephie's Pub And Irish Eatery - Apopka

Apopka is desperate for places just like this. A quaint venue where you can relax, have a glass of wine, and just escape for a while. Kat's has tremendous potential, and with only being open a few weeks, have already made a great impact on the community. We went in on a weeknight, and had a great experience from start to finish. The place is small, with a larger bar area and tables along the wall. They have an extensive wine menu, and to my surprise, six taps of craft beer. They also had some mostly domestic macro brew bottles. For Apopka, this is huge, as craft beer is close to non existent. The wine list was impressive as well. As for food, they had a few appetizers but we didn't try any as we weren't hungry. They did have standard fair like asparagus dip and cheese plates. Overall this is a hugely welcome place in Apopka, and hopefully paces the way for more to come. I was told on weekends they have music with piano or guitar players as well. Can't wait to gonna I.

What a gem! We missed the live music that plays here from time to time. But, as I walked in I felt like I was going to love this place. The vibe is super chill. They have some great beers on tap and tons of wine to choose from. They keep it greasy here too, they change the selections regularly so you always have something new to experience. If I was local, this would be my hangout.

I have visited Kat's several time since they opened and in the beginning I had high hopes.....there was good service, staff was nice and friendly and clean but as time goes on I wonder if this place is going to make it. I was there with a group and we were ordering bottles of wine asked for a chiller and they had only two and they were being used. I was there alone and ordered a glass of wine and I never got another. The owner walked passed me twice and never inquired if I wanted anything else. The wine selection nothing spectacular and for $10 a glass I expect a decent pour. The bar is understaffed, on a weekend night there is 1 bartender who honestly cannot handle more than a few people. The menu is printed on paper and over time has gotten dirty, stained and they are starting to cross off the menu items that are no longer available. How much is it to print a new menu? Come on that is tacky! What brought me there in the first place was they had live music. Which can be hit or miss. I don't know where they find some of these people! All I wanted to do was sit back enjoy the music, have a glass of wine with a little cheese. That did not happen and I will not be back.

Great local bar. Come in to enjoy a nice wine or beer. Kat will do anything to help you have a great time. Great selection of beer and wine with finger food in case you come in hungry. Came in on a Monday when it was quiet and enjoyed a great conversation with Kat and some regulars. Excited to return and hear the live music. Love supporting local businesses with owners who care. Allows smoking on the patio.

What can I say!??? This is a great hidden gem. Kat was AMAZING! Drinks were great and reasonably priced. Music was great for a Monday. I will definitely be back. I'm so sad that it took me two years to consider visiting. This is an AWESOME spot.
