Bidra med feedbackFirst time dining at Gormley's but it won't be our last. The atmosphere, service, and food were wonderful. Our waitress, Kimberly, was great. She was knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive. I had the grouper and my husband had the tuna. Delicious!
The salads were lackluster though with well written descriptions that made them hard to pass by...kudos to the menu editor! The apps and entrees were all fantastic! The grouper was fabulous and the chowder was not to be missed. Oysters Rockefeller were fantastic once the stale crackers had been swapped out. Great meal though pricey.
THIS LISTING IS ERRONEOUS. Gormley's at the River is a new restaurant Chef Brett and Fayah Gormley plan to open later this year at the former location of Caroline's just a few blocks away. Stay tuned! The photos in this listing other than the one of a construction site showing the future restaurant's riverfront location under reconstruction show the bar at the Gibson Inn, the former location of Gormley's at the Gibson. It closed last year after new owners took over the inn and, by the way, modified its historic interior significantly, including painting some of that beautiful 100+ year old black cypress wood glossy white. The new owners have some sort of high end restaurant in there but I don't patronize it; they brought in their own chef and other staff from out of town rather than keeping it local. I prefer to support restaurants owned and operated by my friends and neighbors.
We love eating here. The food is unbelievable and they have a great wine list. Gormley's is in the historic Gibson Inn. Just beautiful!
Friendly service. My wife's steak was cooked perfectly. I could have made a meal out of just a few of the tuna sushi appetizers. They were delicious
