Bidra med feedbackThe Café Sky is located on a bustling avenue with plenty to offer: just steps away are Café No Sé, the Nokiate restaurant, Angie Angie, Spanish schools (for those in need hehe), the cozy bar Y Tu Piña También, etc, etc, etc... Open every day from 8am to 11pm, Café Sky is a very attractive spot for tourists due to its location and second-floor terrace. The terrace can get crowded at times, which led me to discover the lower level (considered the first floor since the second is the terrace), and honestly, it is also a pleasant place: I liked the decor, with traditional indigenous dance costumes hanging on the walls and bamboo furniture. They not only serve alcohol and juices, but also snacks (nachos, wings, etc). You can also have breakfast or dinner for a minimum of about 5 euros. A quiet spot in the morning, but more lively in the evenings with a peaceful atmosphere!
Sky Café is an institution in Antigua Guatemala. Antigua is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and while all other buildings have to respect the conservation law and sometimes destroy their second floor, the small colonial houses are all the same height, as in colonial times. Sky was able to keep its two floors. So it became the panoramic café of Antigua. This is where many locals and tourists go in the early evening to watch the sunset. In these latitudes, regardless of the time of year, the sun sets before 7 pm. The café has a panoramic terrace overlooking the rooftops of Antigua on the east side of the city, with the Agua volcano on the left and the Fuego and Acatenango volcanoes on the right, which is the direction of the sunset. It is a beautiful place, but it gets very busy in the evening during the last hour of the day. If you arrive a little earlier, you can get a table, it's not too cold at the top, they serve very good food and drinks like quesadillas, lasagna, and some pizzas. The prices are normal for Antigua.
The Coffee of the Sky is located on a bustling avenue with plenty of attractions nearby, including other cafes, restaurants, Spanish schools, and more. Open daily from 8am to 11pm, this cafe is popular among tourists for its location and second-floor terrace. The terrace can get crowded, so I ended up discovering the cozy first floor, which is also decorated with traditional costumes and bamboo furniture. They serve alcohol, juices, and snacks like nachos and wings for as little as 5 euros. It's a quiet spot in the morning and livens up in the evening with a peaceful view.
