Bidra med feedbackI visited this restaurant for their renowned black bean noodle dish, jajangmyeon. My friends and I ordered the large portion of jjam bbong with jajangmyeon and chicken tangsuyuk. The tangsuyuk was particularly delightful, with tender and well-seasoned wings. We managed to finish everything, which was quite a feast for three people. However, we found the jajangmyeon and seafood soup lacking in flavor and thought the food was a bit greasy. We appreciated the generous portion sizes and the option for half and half combos. Overall, it was a fun spot to savor some authentic Korean Chinese fusion cuisine.
As a second-generation Korean American who adores his cultural cuisine, a meal of black bean noodles is incomplete without a side of sweet and tangy chicken or pork called Tang soo yook in Korean. I personally prefer to dip the Tang soo yook in the sauce rather than pouring it over the fried meat, as it helps to preserve the crispy exterior. Despite living in North Carolina, I make it a point to dine at this restaurant every time I visit Northern Virginia, sometimes even multiple times in one trip. That's how good their food is. For my main courses, I always go for the Yes Jang Myun for $8.99 during lunchtime. Trust me, these are the best black bean noodles you'll find in the DMV area. Opting for the large portion may cost an additional $3, but it's worth it as you get a generous serving of noodles. The Chicken Tang soo yook priced at $18.99 on weekdays (slightly higher on weekends) perfectly complements the black bean noodles and is a must-order. These dishes are like yin and yang, creating a delicious balance of flavors. The interior of the restaurant may be a bit outdated, but who cares when the food is this good? Parking is not an issue, as they have their own parking lot with ample space for customers. Is it worth it? Absolutely. Dining here during weekday lunch hours can save you some money compared to dinner or weekends. Just be mindful of the 18% gratuity automatically added to your bill for parties of two during weekday lunch hours. Despite this minor inconvenience, I give Choon Hwa Won 4 stars for their exceptional food and value during lunchtime.
I really enjoy dining at this restaurant for lunch! The Bulgogi is good, but I usually prefer the Chicken Tang Soo Yook. The Kimchi is also delicious. I recommend giving this restaurant a try.
The best food in town! You have to try if you like Korean Chinese food!!!
