No judgment was passed when we did not order a drink nor when we asked for the happy hour menu. The issue ended up actually being the food. For an upscale restaurant specializing in meats, out medium rare steak was unfortunately tough: not just the level it was cooked but also the cut of the beef (Steak Frites Au Poivre . It's not often I enjoy the happy hour dishes more than the main course, but if it weren't for how delicious the Steak Tartare, Vietnamese Shrimp Salmon Cake, and (non-HappyHour Four Cheese Ravioli Bolognese (which was very, very good! were, which totaled about half the price of the entree, I would not have rated the restaurant so highly. Ultimately, it *did* exceed my expectations of an upscale restaurant, but only barely.
Today to brunch. I loved everything, and the atmosphere was beautiful. the seasonal mumosa with pear juice was tasty; the hummerbisque was delicious, and the croissant was so tasty that I could fail. my man also loved his hate. I recommend this place very much!
I am so glad that this place lived up to everything and more that I thought it was after I heard from some people that it was great. I went there with a few friends and we sat in the comfort session and ordered from the happy hour menu above all and then the sides, so I still have to taste the dinner. but honestly, I never tasted something quite similar here and it's amazing. the hummmus was so good that we both ordered a pint. the personal seemed happy, and I actually saw a former student of me working here and took her brain on how she was here and she said that everyone is really great and treats her really well, and that's important to me. I have also heard good things about their meeting room, so I asked for a tour because next year I meet a event and I have a thorough tour of chef alex. apparently he was part of the building or built zingerman’s roadhouse (not clear what) and that is his own risk, they will not be disappointed. the ambiente is also great.
Came here for brunch it is Saturday and Sunday 9-3 pm. there was a group of six of us and our waitress was very attentive to fill our glasses and meet our needs. they have a wide range of food and their whole meat is made in the house. below is the biscuits and gravy, which was creamy and well seasoned. the other image is the Buddha shell, which had wide seeds, roasted seasonal vegetables and a i.e. could have used some more salt and pepper, but all to eat good. they have a complete cocktail menu. highly recommended!
Great! appealing device. I decided to try the classic prime rib. it was fed perfectly and the maic had not reached a deep of taste often. the lobster bisque was full of taste, one of the best I have sampled. it was also great to see some of the well-known waiters from the common grill. we're coming back!
