Peking Palace - Angus

Good traditional chinese. Had mixed starter platter, king prawn tsai ting and sizzling beef fillet which hubbie said was delicious.

Moved locally and haven't been impressed with takeaways until tonight. Service on phone very clear and polite. Food ready when promised. Food delicious obviously freshly cooked and not using old oils! Definitely be back.

Occasionally we try another Chinese restaurant on our travels but none of the others compare to the quality of food at the Peking Palace we can never fault it

My wife and I sat in for a meal at 5pm on 26/04/2023. Upon entering, the waitress was sitting at a table. She did acknowledge us but didn't bother to show us to a table, only asking if we had booked then pointing to a table by the window. This attitude gives a very unprofessional first impression of the restaurant. Having eaten here on a few occasions we were disappointed to notice the portion sizes seem to have shrunk. We ordered the sharing platter to start with which appeared to be padded out with raw carrot and onions. We ordered Honey chili chicken and the shredded beef for mains sharing a portion of fried rice. We have no complaints about the food as it tasted great but just a pity there wasn't enough. We did mention to the waitress that the food was as nice as always but felt the portion size had been reduced and we didn't feel it was value for money.

I walked from one end of Montrose to get to this restaurant,the other Chinese food outlets were takeaways but I fancied a table When I entered the Restaurant a waitress was serving a big table she glanced at me and then walked away to do something else I stood there waiting,eventually lady approached I asked for a table she then asked me if I’d booked! Clearly I hadn’t,showed me a table over the other side of the restaurant,I ordered and she said bring it all together almost insisting! very strange place,the service here is really awful!! 3 miserable Chinese ladies who basically can’t be bothered which is clear to se,no smile no welcome utterly grim! Service with a scowl! Food is ok Won’t be back!
