Alto Sé Café - Angra do Heroísmo

We landed in Terceira very late; we tried to eat in four restaurants before we arrived at The Cafe Alta Sé. Even though their kitchen was closing, they accepted our orders and we’ve been able to eat When discussing about the regional gastronomy, they recommended to us a very typical dish Alcatra that must be prepared 7 hours before tasting. We booked and have experienced it today for lunch: it has been absolutely delicious! Thanks for your yesterday’s warm welcome and thanks for sharing with us today a piece of your island gastronomy secret!

If you are on Terceira this is a must visit our favorite restaurant. The food is amazing. Well thought out dishes with great flavors. Wonderful relaxing atmosphere and super friendly and helpful staff. Save room for desert! (The cheese cake!!! The in-house bakery is something that needs to be experienced. This restaurant has it all! We met and then thanked the owner for such a wonderful experience.

Best food and service in the Azores. Ask the owner who provides excellent customer service and advice for travellers like us from Canada preorder the traditional dish called alcarta.... you will not be dissappointed !!

Found this place today for dinner. And loved everything about it. Very kid friendly, great service, great prices, good food. The coffee was outstanding. And portion sizes are large even by U.S. standards.
