Gour Mio - ANDRIA

I like to discover new places, and when I'm in a city I've never been before, I usually listen to suggestions and recommendations from whomever I meet: they never disappoint. This is the case of Gour Mio. Situated in the heart of Andria, very close to the pedestrian area, this local deli has everything I was hoping to find: the handmade pasta, the traditional recipes, one of the most beautiful Italian olive oil I've ever tried. I went back 3 times. The orecchiette with meatballs were exactly like my grandma used to make them, and the potato soup with mussels was to die for. Oh, try also the fig cheesecake, so so good. The food was excellent, but the staff and the owner, Saverio, really made every visit unforgettable. Be vocal about what you like or would like to try, they will make sure you leave as happy as you can be. I definitely was.

At noon every day shops close until 3;00 pm which is traditional in areas with less tourist traffic. Found this Pasta Bar/Deli that caters to locals during the lunch hour. Close to central Piazza and main shopping district, this eatery will make up pasta to your liking featuring various tomato sauces. Also has extensive Deli options and fresh salads. Get a cappuccino, cold drink or wine with your meal. Mostly take out but has a few stools and tables inside if you wish to eat in. Recommend for a light lunch on the go! Service good and prices reasonable. Portions adequate.
