La Morena - Andrews

My favorite spot in Andrews, Tx. I have been eating here for close to 20 years and can genuinely say that I've never had a bad meal. Greg, the owner, is quite the character. I eat here every single time I pass through.

Real excellent breakfast. Could barely find it right next to a storage unit and from the outside it's a hole in wall but fear not food is worth it.

Great food, hot or mild, however you want it, they have it. Good selection and reasonably priced. Sorry. No credit cards accepted. Cash or checks. Limited seating, so be careful with larger groups. Friendly service.

The best Mexican food in Andrews! The hot sauce combines red (mild and Green (HOT . I mix the two to taste. Bring cash because like all the best Mexican restaurants, they don't do checks or plastic. Get the wet burrito for lunch. You get to pick what goes inside.

Andrews loves God, land and supports the consumption of Smothered Chili Verde Burritos from La Morena. Friends in central Texas will not talk to me for weeks if I don't bring them Burritos from La Morena after passing through Andrews. I enjoyed the same 20 years of Burrito and Mexican burgers joy as Google reviewer John Herbold noted in an earlier review. I will continue to stop here if possible, and hand delivered Burritos by friends when I find out they are in the radius of Greg's kitchen.
