(Just a note: we were a bit surprised by the number of...labels and cards forbidding something. it somehow made us feel in a School rather than in a place we 're Customers of . HOTEL: I walked on the ground floor of the hotel and was very positively impressed: Jugendstil/art noveau furnitures, wall decorations are maintained in perfect conditions. It 's an elegant and yet light environment. The management decided to keep the ground floor classic and renovate the rooms with fresh and dynamic colours. The same has been done for the Restaurant, open to non hotel guests: wide windows, modern furnituring, very fresh indeed. There 's anyway a classic, elegant dining hall as well (probably for special events . It seemed to me a very nice spot for Companies ' retreats or special events. RESTAURANT: as it was after lunch time, we had a rather simplified menu list (this was the opening line when we sat down... . I wasn 't particularly impressed by the few snack/salads offering, but it must be said that care is placed in how dishes are presented. It 's a nice place, overall. Dessert were very good. VILLAGE: walking in Andeer is a wonderful way to experience old Switzerland. Few modern buildings (less than 10%, perhaps , fine roads, fine facades. Probably Andeer needs to attract more youngsters and young families, but it may even be that more mature people prefer to have this charming village quiet. The issue is that you can 't ski here. You could do hiking or spa treatments. Overall, in Switzerland is not uncommon not to feel warmly welcome. It seems it 's about procedures to be respected rather than enjoy your stay . But I have the impression that this Hotel is targeting more modern thinking about Customers. [but if you get to the Baths 11:00am, stay 2 hours, won 't you be willing to enjoy a glorious, self indulging lunch, instead of a simplified menu list? this structure is diversified, but could take more money from lunches of people coming in one day. I thought that their best/only market must be for those who sleep over]
Excellent quality with graubunden and italian specialities. very polite staff and good athmosphere. usual prices for switzerland.
