Bidra med feedbackThis cozy restaurant, featuring a wide variety of foods, was at the very least enjoyable. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, with quick service and smiling faces. With a great view of Chugach National Forest and it's mountains. The food arrived steaming and fresh, and appeared well placed on the plate. Overall the food was very decent, solid 7/10.
Great breakfast for a great price. The service was also top tier. My coworker and I were welcomed as soon as walking through the door. If you're into old timey diners this definitely has that vibe. Would eat here again!
I was in from the boonies of Alaska and a friend took me to one of the places that was dine-in at ANCH and we went to Peggy's. I'm glad we did, I had a Denver omelet and it was excellent. I enjoyed watching the small planes take off from Merrill Field and the traffic going by, as I am from the boonies of Alaska.
Positive: delicious food. Otherwise, Steer clear of Peggy’s Restaurant on 5th Avenue! No masks. Susie, waitress, wiping her nose with a Kleenex and then while holding the dirty tissue in her hand, she was touching clean plates, glasses, and food. She took a maple syrup container off of a dirty table directly to folks at another table. Same with a ketchup bottle. Tables were dirty, as was the tableware. No mask on cook either. Some guy off the street came in and helped himself to the ice bin and soda dispenser. Nasty! I’ll never go back.
I have been eating here since I was a kid. It is a must stop every trip to Anchorage. Great food, staff, quick and filling each time!
