Bidra med feedbackWe had a great dinner. we have made an 8-speed graphics and each one was wonderful. starting with a beautiful cocktail goes over a beautiful bottle of wine. the wee prices are super fair and there is a good choice. the service was really friendly and took the time to describe each cure in detail. we sat on the big table next to the chefs who seemed to have a great atmosphere and much passion for every detail on the plate. thanks for this great evening.
I came here to celebrate my first high-time day. the meal that my wife and I had was incredibly tasty, it was a real gastronomic experience! envy is a great place to celebrate when they are looking for an upscale restaurant. we tried the cooking menu with wine pairings and it was really a tasteful experience for the taste buds!
I have been in restaurants that clean up already smelling plate dishes, but this is the first one that has not only set menu but allowed me to order the dishes directly. the menu is well selected, great presentation as you can see from the pictures. good taste combination, good quality ingredients. the service is also very good.
Excellent Food and Service. Everything was fresh and creative. A must try when in Amsterdam. Note the restaurant has changed its name.
My mom and I booked Envy for their New Year's Eve tasting menu. The place was packed when we arrived for our 9:15pm reservations, but we were warmly greeted by the kind hostess who doubled as waitress throughout the night. Our waiter so sweet and was as attentive as he possibly could be given the chaos of the evening. Every table was full and the kitchen was working their butt off. I'll summarize each course: Bread and Butter: Amazing and we managed to finish the whole loaf by our 3rd course. Mackerel with Kale: This was tasty, especially the crispy roasted Kale Potato with Eel: The sauce was very flavorful, but there was only 2 small pieces of eel. Halibut with Fermented Mushroom: I enjoyed this, the halibut was so buttery and creamy. Deer with Cauliflower: I've never had deer before, but this was dIfficult to cut through. It was cooked medium rare and had a very slight gamey taste, but still good. The cauliflower had roasted macadamia nuts on top that was to die for. Cheese Plate: The server dropped this off without explaining what was on the plate. I'm guessing it was Brie, Bleu and some other hard cheese. I don't know what the other two dipping jams were, but they were good. Prickly Pear Sorbet Dessert: The presentation was beautiful, but I felt like there were too many flavors going on to really enjoy it. Envy is best reserved for a special occasion and I would definitely come back for a regular dinner to try their traditional tasting menu. It was a great spot to spend the New Year as the crowd was fun and friendly.
