Bidra med feedbackThe lentil dal and chickpea curry at this restaurant are both vegan and incredibly delicious. The bread served with it is also vegan. Although the rice may have been mixed with milk during our visit, the overall dining experience was still amazing. The dedication and skill of the chefs is truly commendable. They even offered to show us behind the scenes to see how the food is prepared, and the staff were very enthusiastic and accommodating.
I rarely write reviews, but here goes. This restaurant has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making you feel right at home. The staff are friendly and serve thousands of people every day with a smile. They do not serve meat or eggs, but some dishes contain milk so vegans should be aware and enjoy their meal with caution. It's important to respect their menu choices and dietary restrictions.
The Free Kitchen is a volunteer-run restaurant that serves 70,000-100,000 people daily with free vegetarian meals. Guests can pick up a mug, spoon, and plate at the entrance and then follow others to sit on the floor in rows. They place their plate in front of them and volunteers come by to serve different items. Guests are encouraged to only take food they intend to eat. The atmosphere is very welcoming and inclusive, with guidance provided on etiquette if needed. The bread is not vegan, but the sweet lentil rice should be. After finishing their meal, guests can return their utensils to the designated area for volunteers to wash. Overall, the experience is very welcoming for newcomers, who are likely to be dining at the restaurant for the first time.
