Bidra med feedbackWe read a few days ago about the new opening of the farm Schene Welde. The calura outside the usual of this summer period has led us to plan without delay a capatina in the mountain, in search of a little fresh regenerating; therefore, the best opportunity to combine the useful to the dilettevole, aiming to discover the above-mentioned farm. Just over an hour’s drive (starting from Udine), heading to Ampezzo, and then continuing along the numerous bends leading to Passo Pura. Here we have found to welcome a construction realized according to the typical mountain style; adjacent to it, the Malga Pura, in which a skillful house prepares daily fresh ricotta and tasty malga cheeses. All around, a frame of mountains, thick woods, and meadows on which bighellon lazy the cows that supply the malga with their milk. From Schene Welde, and from the little distant refuge Tita Piaz, there are numerous paths, with various levels of difficulty, that allow anyone, be it the experienced hiker, as well as the family with children, to find the path suitable for itself, enjoying a beautiful walk inside mountain landscapes of great suggestion and beauty. Upon returning to the farm, with the appetite now looming, we have settled in the interior room (the number of tables are also placed outside), promptly reached by the nice and active waitress who took care of us and other customers. Illustrated the menu and taken the command, the drinks are immediately followed and, after a short wait (despite the remarkable turnout), our dishes. First we shared a mixed appetizer (Sauris ham, salami nostrano, malga cheese, pickled cucumbers, all strictly at km 0 or almost), then passing to ricotta dumplings with melted butter and smoked ricotta (all coming from the malga), followed by a portion of “Toc in braide”. To finish in sweetness, a slice of cheese cake (with ricotta di malga) with chocolate. We drank a great Cabernet of the house (very appreciated), and mineral water. Good food, prepared with products of the farm or of the neighboring territory, served in generous portions, all the conditions for an experience to be repeated. For those who want to stop, the property also has some rooms.
Nice retreat that offers a traditional cuisine, simple and substantial. Spectacular the cake with the taraxac disease. Very friendly service.
Not good eating poor cleaning service that lets you want the only positive thing is the panorama that deserves to go to see
Very rustic environment, a little spartan (not all rooms have en suite bathroom) but widely repaid by the kindness and helpfulness of the owner. Great dinner, excellent rest. It is truly in peace and almost isolated from the world (very poor cellular connection which on some occasion could be sought)
Wide view of the mountains. Kindness. Indoor seats or benches sheltered on rustic outdoor tables: a romantic terrace on the world. Excellent sliced appetizer (crude, salami, cheese and cucumbers). Meat rolls with ham and cheese, accompanied by polenta: good, even if not just summer. Butter dumplings very, very delicate. Excellent side dishes: salad with tomatoes and cucumbers and beans with onions and parsley. Dessert of cream and puff. Great value for money.
