Bidra med feedbackLove the fishballs and the soup as well! The sambal is great too! Do try 'Hor ka sai ' if u like something rich in flavour. My comfort food as always.
While my friend and I were searching for Sarawak kam pua stall in Pandan Jaya area, which was about 5km away from the Kuala Lumpur City, we stumbled across this Penang curry mee restaurant. We tried their signature Penang curry mee and dry fish ball noodle.<br/ <br/ To our surprise, both of them tasted very delectable! The curry broth was aromatic and tasted awesome with creamy coconut milk, topped with a reasonable amount of sambal (Malaysian fried chilli). This curry mee was unexpectedly lovely and tasted authentic! In my personal view, this curry tasted more like Central or South Malaysian style, instead of Penang curry, as the curry broth of this restaurant was much thicker and more creamy. Anyway, it doesn't matter at all, most importantly, the curry was really great!<br/ <br/ The dry fish ball noodle was good too, the soup base tasted good and the fish balls were spongy and fresh. We were very happy with what we ordered.<br/ <br/ Will try their asam laksa in my next visit.<br/ <br/ Food Beverage : 8/10<br/ Service : 6/10<br/ Price : 8/10<br/ Ambience : 6/10
If you’re a fan of Penang Curry Mee, then Jia Li Mian Shi Guan restaurant deserves your attention. They serve by far the most authentic looking (note: looks) Penang Curry Mee in KL with all the toppings you could think of including pork blood cubes, prawns, ginger flower and mint. For that alone, I give them A+ for the effort of preserving the authenticity.
