Bidra med feedbackThe family that brought me to this restaurant swears. When an outside village came out for the weekend, it was a great place to relax and have some time in the family. It seems that the bar usually plays the most popular sports game and there are some tables inside and outside. My host family says they love summer time in Giacomo Jack's because their kids can walk around and play, and they are not worried that they have fun out in the restaurant because it is a place in their neighborhood. There's a dog running around sometimes, but it's gonna stick to yourself if you're not a dog person. Usually he's out. I thought the food was great - I had a coconut shrimp appetizer (the ratio of bread to shrimp was perfect) and the sea bass special, boiled in shells. It is served in what it is boiled in tin foil and you open it at the table. When I opened the foil tent, it smells amazing. Our server, I think her name is Diane, was a joy; she was attentive and even bite around with the children. I was just in this restaurant once, but my host family goes to this place every Sunday.
Great food, ambiance, music, everything!!! Love it! Have known Giacomo for 40 years or more...very personable, friendly and welcoming. He's never changed; a great guy and a great host!
The drinks were refreshing and served chilled! I enjoyed the atmosphere, and the bartender was very friendly. Just a heads up, parking in that area can be a bit challenging. Overall, it's definitely a great spot to visit.
I've been coming here for nearly 20 years, and the baked mussels are truly the best hidden gem on Long Island. I've never heard anyone say anything negative about the shells—never! The service is excellent, and there's a wonderful neighborhood vibe. It's definitely worth the visit.
I only stopped by for drinks, and they were excellent and refreshingly cold! I enjoyed the atmosphere, and the bartender was really friendly. Just a heads up, parking in that area can be a bit challenging. Overall, it’s definitely a cool spot worth visiting!
